Your reading belongs to you.
Excerlo saves the passages and notes you choose in your browser’s local storage. Optional sync sends an encrypted backup, a random space identifier and an access token. The decryption key stays on your devices. The server also stores Stripe subscription references and status, without card numbers.
Your connection code grants access to your data: anyone who has it can access your space. Transfer PDF files manually using a ZIP backup. No advertising or audience measurement tool is included. Hosting processes the technical logs needed to operate the service.
